Space Electronics Engineer
In Sateliot we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated engineer to join our Embedded HW and SW team
YOUR MISSION
As a Space Electronics Engineer, you will join the Embedded HW and SW team and work in collaboration with an assembly of skilled engineers in charge of evolving Sateliot’s space capabilities to provide the first and best NB-IoT NTN service to emerging users around the world. This area is in charge of the design of electronic devices and products for the space segment, as well as support tools (GSE). She or he will be responsible for the design and verification of new electronics for communication products mainly based on embedded systems.
YOUR MAIN FUNCTIONS
- Lead the design of electronic devices based on microcontrollers, FPGAs, and embedded radios for communication systems.
- Design printed circuit boards (PCBs) for space applications, including thorough component selection, schematic creation, layout, and routing. Ensure designs meet stringent space and performance standards.
- Components selection and assistance to procurement.
- Set-up and conduct system-level tests in both simulated and real-world environments.
- Develop and execute test procedures for Validation and Verification (V&V) activities of RF Hardware and processing boards for space applications.
- Design and perform electrical testing for space qualification and characterization activities (e.g., TVAC, Anechoic Chamber, Vibration table).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and third-party providers to ensure seamless integration and functionality of electronic systems.
- Maintain detailed documentation of design and testing processes.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve existing designs and processes.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.

Experience with PCB design software (i.e. Altium Designer).
The applicant must be eligible to work and live in the EU.
Strong organizational skills to manage deadlines and shifting priorities.
Ability to work independently and take ownership of design and testing activities.
Exceptional communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and third-party providers.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, is essential.

Previous experience in the NewSpace field and/or IoT sector is a plus.

Familiarity with 3GPP standards and NB-IoT NTN requirements is a plus.

Experience in electrical analysis with LT/PSPICE and/or MATLAB

Experience in power electronics and EMC engineering.
Experience in developing and executing test procedures for Validation and Verification activities of RF Hardware and processing boards for space applications.
Experience working in ISO-7 or ISO-8 clean room and ESD protected environments.
Experience designing and performing electrical testing for space qualification and characterisation activities (i.e. TVAC, Anechoic Chamber, Vibration table).
Familiarity with ECSS standards.
