Sateliot’s Latest Partnership with Accolade Electronics aims to reduce road traffic accidents and air pollution, two prevalent challenges facing the country.
Barcelona, Pune, 1st October 2024—Sateliot, the first company to operate a Low-Earth orbit (LEO) 5G NB-IoT satellite constellation that acts as a seamless roaming extension of cellular networks, is working with Accolade Electronics, the provider of connected telematics solutions in India. This partnership amplifies the capabilities of connected vehicles, creating safer and cleaner roads.
Accolade Electronics has an impressive track record with over 800,000 connected devices currently operational across various vehicle models in India. Their innovative telematics solutions enhance vehicle connectivity, enabling real-time monitoring, tracking, and performance optimization. Meanwhile, Sateliot is extending global connectivity by deploying a network of 5G satellites, providing mobile operator coverage to even the most remote corners of the planet.

India’s automotive scene is changing at the hands of Sateliot and Accolade Electronics
With one of the highest rates of road traffic accidents in the world, the country’s high vehicle density and challenging road conditions are key contributors to this issue. However, the Internet of Things (IoT) is playing a key role, as smart vehicles help address problems like inadequate signage, poor lighting, and insufficient road maintenance.
These challenges are particularly pronounced in rural areas, where internet connectivity is scarce, limiting access to critical road information. Sateliot is revolutionizing this space by providing global connectivity, ensuring that information can flow even in the most remote regions.
In addition, Sateliot stands out by offering affordable critical messaging services, making it accessible to the Indian market, where high-cost alternatives are not viable. While their current service enables critical updates every few hours, it is already a vital tool for emergencies and a significant step forward for improving road safety in underserved areas.
Similarly, Gianluca Redolfi, CCO of Sateliot, highlighted the importance of collaboration in addressing global challenges: “Sateliot is proud to enable great companies that are making a difference, such as Accolade Electronics, to expand their operational area beyond the current capabilities of cellular networks”.
“This partnership aligns perfectly with Accolade’s mission to provide secure, efficient, and
robust connected vehicle solutions,” said Deepak Jagadale, CEO and Co-founder of
Accolade Electronics Pvt. Ltd. “The combined strengths of Sateliot and Accolade will propel
vehicle connectivity, customer experience, and safety to new heights.”
